About us
Cricket kit should not require a flight to buy.
Diamond Cricket Co. was started in 2026 by a young club cricketer who kept hearing the same story: if you want good gear at a fair price, wait until someone flies to India and brings it back in a suitcase.
That story came up again and again. A teammate's family visiting relatives, coming home with three bats and a set of pads for what one bat would have cost here. Someone's cousin bringing gloves back from a tour. It worked, but only if you happened to know the right person flying at the right time. Everyone else paid the import markup, waited weeks on a special order, or made do with kit that did not fit.
That is a strange way to run a sport growing this fast here. The United States hosted the men's T20 World Cup in 2024, a professional league is into its fourth season, and cricket returns to the Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028. Clubs and college sides are starting up all over the country. Getting hold of the gear should not be the hardest part of taking the game up.
The way we do that is by keeping the chain between the bench and the player as short as we can, and by putting our own name on gear built for how the game is actually played here. There is no showroom, no floor stock and no rent on a high street, and that is the whole reason the prices look the way they do.
There is a trade-off and we would rather say it plainly than bury it in a policy page. Your kit travels a long way, so allow 15 to 20 days rather than next-day delivery. If you need a bat by Saturday, buy local. If you are kitting out a season, a family or a whole club, we will save you real money.
We are new, and we would rather you knew that than found out. No warehouse of testimonials, no decade of order history, no pretence otherwise. What we can promise is that the grade on the listing is the grade we specified, the price is not padded, and if something turns up wrong you will get a person replying to your email rather than a form.
How we work
Four rules we hold ourselves to
Grade it honestly
A Grade 3 cleft is listed as Grade 3. We would rather set the expectation correctly than have a bat arrive looking worse than the photo.
Price the kit, not the badge
You are paying for willow and leather, not for a logo licence or a retail lease.
A person answers
Email goes to one inbox and one person reads it. No ticket queue, no chatbot pretending to be someone. We are small, so replies come when that person is at a desk rather than instantly.
Say it plainly
All sales are final and we say so up front rather than burying it. Ask before you order and we will talk you out of the wrong size.
Our promise
Every order is checked by hand before it leaves the bench. Every email is answered by a person, not a queue. And if something turns up wrong, get in touch and we will look at it properly rather than hiding behind a policy page. We would rather earn your trust than borrow someone else's.
